Wow. Just wow. I'm speechless.

It's amazing how well you've taken the essence of these characters and transplanted them into such a different world. And transformed them just enough to fit perfectly into 19th Century Pionerring America. Their personalities and backstories are so good.

Brad made me want to scream and shake him, with his stubborness. And I felt so much for Nate not being able to do anything. But I was so happy that he stayed.

And the ending! I couldn't see any light at the end of their tunnel. But you did it. And it was beautiful. The last few scenes of the farm burning and of Brad and Nate were wonderful - the backdrop so huge and terrible, but still somehow calm. I felt like Brad and Nate were waiting for this huge blow to fall, the inevitable worst thing, and now that it's happened, there's a relief. And a new start. It was such a great ending :-)

This was my absolute favourite line: Nate is sure, he's certain, and it's like the most triumphant victory and the most devastating loss all at once, to know that he has Brad, he has him, but that he's given himself over completely, too, to the wanting of Brad. I love it! I think the only word for it is epic.
